Get ready for three days of electrifying performances, dazzling costumes, and non-stop entertainment at Edmonton Drag Festival 2025—the only festival of its kind in Canada! Now in their third year, this one-of-a-kind event is a vibrant celebration of drag, queer culture, and community, bringing together local and international talent for an unforgettable experience.

This year’s festival is packed with exciting programming:

• Friday kicks off with an Indigenous Celebration, honoring the rich traditions and artistry of Indigenous drag performers. Later that night, the BIPOC Showcase will bring together diverse community groups from around the world, highlighting a powerful lineup of talent.

• Saturday begins with storytime and community events, creating a welcoming space for all ages. In the afternoon, they’ll host the highly anticipated Red Carpet Runway, where over 70 local performers will strut their stuff, competing for first, second, and third place. Then, they'll launch into their All-Day Drag Extravaganza, showcasing incredible talent and high-energy performances.

• Sunday wraps up the festival with a Pride Kickoff Party, bringing Pride back to the square. This 18+ adults-only event will feature jaw-dropping drag performances alongside incredible local artists from our community, making it the ultimate way to celebrate.

Beyond the performances, festival-goers can participate in interactive experiences, including drag bingo, makeup sessions led by expert artists, and thought-provoking panel discussions on drag culture, activism, and inclusivity.

With a bustling festival bar open all three days, a diverse community vendor market showcasing LGBTQ+ businesses and organizations, and exciting raffles and giveaways, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. More than just a festival, this is a historic, one-of-a-kind celebration of self-expression and queer joy that you won’t find anywhere else in Canada.
