Welcome Explore Edmonton Volunteers
In 1879, community members came together and put on the first exhibition, which grew from an agricultural fair to what we now know as K-Days. Since then, every year, the community has joined forces to put on events, have fun, and work in tandem to make the city better. Contributing to Edmonton's vibrancy is an amazing feeling, and volunteers play a key role in K-Days, Farmfair International, and at the Edmonton Urban Farm. These activities are only possible because of the effort of hundreds of volunteers!
There are a lot of other great volunteer benefits; you will learn about the city, meet all kinds of new people, and have a ton of fun. Helping with school field trips at the Edmonton Urban Farm, supporting activities at K-Days and Farmfair, providing your expertise on committees, and lending a helping hand to our community partners are just some examples of opportunities that are open to volunteers.
Our volunteers are a diverse group of community members with a wide range of dedicated skills, and length of service. Some have volunteered for decades at our events - others are brand new, looking to develop new skills or find ways to give back.
