Edmonton International Raceway in Wetaskiwin (EIR) is Western Canada’s only NASCAR Sanctioned Stock Car Race Track. Race season begins in May and fans can enjoy race events every Saturday until the end of September. Each night presents a unique lineup of race cars including the NASCAR Super Stocks, Open Wheeled Modifieds, Mini Cups (Kids 8-12 years), and EIR’s fun class, the Stackers— one car is stacked upon the other with one racer operating only the steering and the other racer only the brakes and the gas pedal!
At EIR you can test drive a real race car around the paved oval! The 10 Lap Stock Car Test Drive is the only experience of its kind in Western Canada. Participants come from all over Canada and Internationally to check this unique experience off their bucket list!
