Bring your Students
Urban Farm School is a rich place for experiential learners of all ages. We welcome classes and youth groups, and are more than happy to tailor the experience to fit your needs. Urban Farm School is 100% outdoors and features our beehive, flock of hens, worm compost, soil, seeds, and plants.
The Urban Farm School runs for five weeks in the spring from May 24 to June 24, 2022, and for four weeks in the fall, from September 12 to October 7, 2022. Up to four classes can visit at once, so we encourage teachers from one school to book together. In the summer, we welcome youth groups, day cares, and day camps during the first two weeks of July and all of August.
Urban Farm School sessions are free, highly interactive, and curriculum-linked. They last 1.5 hours (9:30am-11:00am or 1:00pm - 12:30pm). Edmonton Urban Farm is right next to Borden Park, so many classes choose to visit both sites!

Educator's Manual
Students visiting Edmonton Urban Farm experience the production of food in the heart of the city! We’ve got a hive of bees, a flock of urban hens, and a wonderful garden. They’ll get their hands in the dirt; they’ll learn about bees, laying hens, and vegetables and have a great time.
