Celebrating its 13th year, SkirtsAfire spotlights the creative brilliance of women artists! Throughout 10 days of engaging and entertaining performances and experiences, you can be entertained and inspired by theatre, music, dance, comedy, visual art, spoken word, workshops, design, and more. This creative festival takes place in a variety of charming venues in the heart of Old Strathcona and along Whyte Avenue.

Highlights include the Alberta premiere of Dance Nation at Gateway Theatre, the powerful Shoe Project and Indigenous multidisciplinary show Ocêpihkowan: It Has Roots at Walterdale Theatre, and unforgettable performances like Off the Page and emBODYment at La Cité Francophone. Don’t miss "Songs in the Sanctuary" at Holy Trinity Church, art installations, a Whyte Ave scavenger hunt, and special ASL-interpreted performances.
