Grab your decks and airwalk your way over to the Slurpee Canada Skateboard Open on June 17-18. This free-to-enter, multi-day activation tour is happening in cities across Canada and Edmonton is one of the stops!
Head on over to Collingwood Skatepark and celebrate skateboarding with Canada Skateboard as they shine a light on local skateboard clubs, host Canada Skateboard workshops, clinics, skate games, prizes and more!
Friday, June 17th, is Skateboard Community Day, a full day dedicated to skate games and prizes, connecting the skateboard community with local clubs, and getting the public involved in the sport of Skateboarding.
New to skateboarding? Check out the Start Pushing workshop that will teach you the fundamentals of skateboarding. This initiative is focused on introducing skateboarding to newcomers in a safe and fun way!
Or try the SheCANsk8 clinic, a gender equity initiative focused on building safe and inclusive networks for women, girls and underrepresented people who skateboard in Canada. Partnering with established local female skateboard clubs, the SheCANsk8 clinic is exclusively for women and younger girls to try skateboarding, meet new friends, and have fun!
Saturday, June 18th, is competition day where participants can compete in the National Series. The event serves as an avenue for Canadian skateboarders who are looking to compete internationally by earning points at each event, with the potential opportunity to represent Canada at international events leading into the Olympic Season! So get ready to show off your moves or head to the park to cheer on your fellow skaters.
