Stanley A. Milner Public Library
This isn't your average library. No - this is the library of the future!
Located in the heart of downtown Edmonton, this modern and vibrant facility serves as a hub for learning, creativity, and community engagement.
While visitors can explore a vast collection of books, digital resources, and multimedia materials, what REALLY makes this library stand out is its high-tech makerspace, woodwork shop, audio and video recording studios, gaming area, and other hands-on resources for learning and creativity. Additionally, the PÎYÊSÎW WÂSKÂHIKAN (Thunderbird House) Indigenous space offers a dedicated area for Indigenous learning and cultural programming.
The library underwent a major renovation and reopened in September 2020, showcasing a stunning architectural design that blends contemporary aesthetics with functional spaces. The exterior features a dynamic, angular facade, while the interior offers a welcoming and inclusive environment with a variety of spaces for study, collaboration, and relaxation.
Whether you're looking to attend a lecture, try your hand at 3D printing, have your kiddos play on the internal play space, or simply find a quiet spot to read, the Milner Library offers something for everyone!
