In recognition of Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP), I.A.M. Collective presents kiskisiwin – ᑭᐢᑭᓯᐃᐧᐣ, a weekend of reflection, art, and community healing. Taking place alongside their pop-up market at Edmonton City Centre, this special event will feature Indigenous artists whose work honours and engages with the MMIP crisis.
Highlights include:
- Artists and makers with lived connections to MMIP or work centred on remembrance
- Live performances including traditional drumming, dancers, and music
- A free, drop-in Red Dress Pin workshop (open to all, both days)
- Free giveaway draw: win artist-donated gift bags and tickets to UNCEDED: Voices of the Land, right next door to the market
- Informative displays and speakers shedding light on the ongoing MMIP epidemic
