Flashback Documentary
In celebration of the 50th anniversary year of the Flashback Club, you are invited to step back in time to learn about memories and legends of Flashback. Presented by Edmonton Queer History Project and Tangerine Productions, join for one of the two evening screenings of the new TELUS originals feature documentary film, Flashback, at the Metro Cinema.
It was the Studio 54 of the Prairies, and a club that owner John Reid vowed would be a safe place for ‘gay people and their friends.’ Flashback is the story of a defiant disco dance culture of sweat and sex and drugs and fashion! After the screening, you don't want to miss an engaging discussion between soundtrack singer D’orjay and director Peter Hays about the disco music in Flashback.
