Meet us at the court...the volleyball court that is... at the Volleyball Canada Nationals and International Matches. Don't miss the intense volleyball action as National champions are crowned in all age categories, and take in some exciting international matches contested by the Canadian National Teams. Cheer on the Eskimos Football team, (a.k.a the "Eskies") in their pre-season game as they battle it out with their long time rivals, the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Single, double, triple, home run! Grab a drink, a hot dog and catch a good ol' baseball game as the Edmonton Prospects take on the Lethbridge Bulls in their season home opener.
Canoe Through the Sunset
Bask in the warm glow of the setting sun as you paddle on the still waters of the North Saskatchewan River. Haskin Canoe's Sunset Tours are the newest (and coolest) way to see the city. The wait is over, Fort Edmonton Park is now open for the summer season! Explore the home of Alberta's first Premier, take a horse-drawn ride to the Jasper House Bakery and pig out on freshly baked treats, test your gaming skills at the Penny Arcade, and grab dinner or even stay for the night at the historic Hotel Selkirk. So many untold adventures await!

Canada’s longest running documentary film festival, Northwestfest (May 3-13), brings you the best non-fiction, music and documentary films. With more than 30 feature films, and 20 short films which ones will you see? Pass the borshcht (beet soup), Kovbasa (sausage) and Pyrohy (perogies) because UFest, Edmontons Ukraianian Festival, is coming to town on May 25 and 26! The two-day event brings people together to celebrate Ukrainian art, cuisine, and entertainment. Reconnect with your inner child for a five day immersion into music, magic, theatre, circus, puppetry and just plain fun during the International Children's Festival running May 29 to June 3.
If food and wine are your idea of a good time, dive head first on May 4 into new culinary adventures, and sample selections from Edmonton's Westend at Taste of Stony Plain Road. It's time to check a few things off the ol' bucket list! With the Servus Edmonton Marathon fast approaching, it's never too early to start your training for the big (or little) race! Taking place on August 18 & 19, the Servus Edmonton Marathon has a race for you no matter your experience level: 5k, 10k or lawn chair with pompoms, be sure to sign up early to save on race registration! This Boston Marathon Qualifier takes participants on a route overlooking Edmonton's beautiful river valley and through several of Edmonton's historic and scenic neighbourhoods, it's one you don't want to miss.
