Rogers Place

Rogers Place is one of Edmonton’s most recognizable and impressive event spaces. Created to be the home of the Edmonton Oilers, it is anything but just an NHL arena. A commanding presence in Edmonton’s downtown, its stark silver siding wraps around its delicate oil drop curves to prove once and for all that buildings can be as beautiful outside as they are inside. To enter, guests pass through the expansive Ford Hall, a large gathering place for community and attendees. The Hall’s crisp white walls arch and collide with one another as inset lighting delicately beams onto a 45-foot diameter circular mosaic set in the floor. The colourful mosaic entitled Tsą tsą ke k’e or Iron Foot Place honours the land where Edmonton is located. Once inside, the spacious concourse draws guests to enjoy the ample arena seating, private boxes, and intimate event spaces. Studio 99, a sophisticated and glitzy sports bar located right inside the arena, features an unrivalled selection of Wayne Gretzky memorabilia and photography. Its high top tables and bar are regularly bubbling over with excited guests enjoying live arena entertainment broadcasted on big screen TVs and delicious upscale pub fare. For the most nostalgic visitors, the exclusive Hall of Fame is a must see. Visible from the outside concourse on the ground level behind the one-and-only Wayne Gretzky statue, this is the first NHL Hall of Fame branch outside of Toronto. The small but mighty room doubles as a museum of Edmonton Oilers victories and mythologies and a media event space. The Hall of Fame is packed with legacy pieces dating back to the 70s including jerseys, record setting pucks, sticks, plaques, and full-size replicas of five Stanley Cups.
