Northeast River Valley Park Event Centre

Edmonton is the River City for a reason, our river valley can’t be beat in its expansive size and offering. With easy access right off the Anthony Henday, Northeast River Valley Park is the newest park in the Edmonton River Valley, boasting a crown jewel for rental opportunities: the Event Centre. Previously a summer camp for underprivileged youth, the City of Edmonton acquired this amazing park space in May 2023, and we can't wait to host your event. Located in the heart of the park, the Event Centre has stunning lake views, overhead doors granting extensive natural light, integrated audio-visual equipment, servery and an on-site commercial kitchen. The main hall's natural light and wood beams encourage guests to relax and connect with the natural beauty around them. The serving area with a buffet-style countertop is a stunning inclusion to every rental, as well as a servery for concession or beverage service. Have a licensed caterer you have been dying to use for an upcoming event? We welcome you to choose your own licensed caterer and utilize our expansive commercial kitchen equipment and space for prep and service for your event. From the Event Lawn, you can oversee the sprawling 190 acres of surrounding park and enjoy an outdoor component for your event. This scenic park is larger than even William Hawrelak Park. This park also includes 2 additional outdoor rental locations: the Forest Amphitheatre and West Barn Bridge. Want to do more in the park as part of your event? The park space includes trails, picnic sites, washrooms, an ornamental lake and a hand-launch for non-motorized boats. In the winter, ski trails circle the park, making it a year-round recreation and leisure destination.
