Travel back in time to explore the ancient Egyptians and Chinese warriors, or travel even further back in time to discover the pre-historic world of dinosaurs. Next, embark on remarkable adventures to the far reaches of the Arctic and deep beneath the ocean. From the giant screen to your TV, you can now enjoy amazing IMAX films from your living room! For a limited time, TELUS World of Science - Edmonton and Giant Screen Films are happy to make a selection of IMAX documentary films available for video on demand. Now you can experience the world of IMAX without ever leaving your couch!
Science at Home
TELUS World of Science has launched a series of virtual tutorials to help you become a mad scientist! These awe-inspiring experiments can be done using everyday household items and make for a perfect afternoon activity for little kids and big kids alike. Try creating a bouncy egg or writing secret messages in invisible ink.
Then discover Science at Al's House! Alan Nursall, President & CEO of TELUS World of Science, shows off some amazing science experiments that you can do right at home using household items like unpopped popcorn kernels, Ziploc bags and soda. Just make sure you use your new-found knowledge for good (insert mad scientist laugh here)!
Virtual Camp Programs
It can be hard to fill the endless hours of indoor time while keeping your sanity as a parent, but especially so during the current pandemic where options to go out are limited. These virtual camps help kids stay curious and engaged while at home. All you need is a computer with an internet connection!
