For 13 days every summer, The Works unleashes art & design throughout one square kilometer of Edmonton's downtown core. Greater than the sum of its many parts, The Works is a time and place for everyone to discover, discuss and develop an appreciation for art and design. As North America's largest free outdoor art and design festival, The Works has something for everyone.

From July 7-17, 2021, the festival returns to Churchill Square to present The Works: Activated - Art in the Square, Online, and in Communities, an event to bring life and excitement to Downtown Edmonton. This year, every spectator is encouraged to engage with the exhibits at their own pace and time both online and in-person.
