Edmonton Short Film Festival
This year, the Edmonton Short Film Festival is rolling out the red carpet right to your living room to bring you a virtual festival! The ESFF Virtual Red Carpet Gala is free to attend and will feature a selection of unique short films by Albertan independent film artists. This film festival supports film and media artists from a variety of backgrounds, genres, and content.
Come together in a virtual space to share joy, tears, frustrations and hope. Laugh, cry, get scared or inspired and reflect on commonalities of being human - perhaps from a perspective that is different from your own.
As part of the festival, you'll also find Long Shorts - a second day of films initiated in 2019. These films are up to 60 minutes in length and will also be screened online. Long Shorts includes international films with some making their Canadian Debut!
Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, the live in-person event will be invite only this year. The ESFF team is excited to announce that the awards portion of the live event will be recorded and the entire screening of films will be available for viewing until Tuesday October 20 at 7:00pm MST.
