Edmonton Heritage Festival
Experience the world in a weekend without leaving Edmonton at the Edmonton Heritage Festival presented by TD from July 30-August 1. Take a peek at Pakistan, feel the beat of Burkina-Faso and explore cultures from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. Everyone is coming together in Hawrelak Park! This iconic three-day outdoor event invites you to sample delicious food, see creative performances, and celebrate Canada's multiculturalism. Shop for artwork and chat with folks who are proud to discuss their unique roots and the rich multi-cultural communities they have created in Canada. You'll discover 60 countries and cultures at 50 outdoor pavilions and enjoy free entertainment on more than 25 stages throughout Hawrelak Park.
Discover toe-tapping tunes from around the globe at the second annual World Music Week with different talent taking the stage each evening. This 4-night series features talent from local, national, and international artists who are passionate about expressing their unique cultural, music and dance. The first night of World Music Week is called Tawow - which means “sing”. Admission for Thursday is free, but a ticket must be reserved on Eventbrite. Admission for Friday-Sunday is $25 for a single day or $60 for the weekend. Book you tickets, and get ready to be swept away by the rhythm!
In August 2022 MultiCultural Month, the Virtual Festival will be live. Catch performances, links to local cultural restaurants, and the Cultural Marketplace where you will find crafts from local cultural vendors.
Note: during this year's festival, there will be no food tickets for sale. Food and goods can be purchased directly from the pavilions by credit or debit only. If you do not want to use a credit or debit card or you usually use cash, there will be cards available onsite for your use.
