2023 FIBA 3x3 Masters & Women's Series

From July 28-30, 2023, Edmonton hosted the FIBA 3X3 World Tour Masters and Women’s Series at Fan Park @ ICE District. Over the three days, this major in-city event featured top 3x3 basketball athletes from 11 different countries. Over 3,000 spectators and attended the event and watched as 56 World Tour athletes and 48 Women's Series athletes competed for the championship titles. The event was broadcasted around the world and had 32 hours of airtime, attaining 3.6 million views.

During the event, Edmonton’s Plouffe sisters and Team Canada won the Women's Series championship game in overtime in front of a packed crowd of spectators. Youth from Edmonton and surrounding areas also had the opportunity to compete in the Hoop City YEG 3X3 Tournament. In partnership with Alberta Basketball Association, the Hoop City YEG 3X3 Tournament supported various community groups to ensure the tournament was accessible and affordable to participate.
