The festival alone attracted 375,148 visitors, showcasing our city’s ability to host large-scale events with ease.
The Grey Cup game at Commonwealth Stadium drew 55,819 fans, with the Calgary Stampeders defeating the Ottawa Redblacks. This impressive turnout was 54% higher than the 2017 Grey Cup in Ottawa and the highest since the 98th Grey Cup in 2010. The event generated a substantial total economic impact of $81.1 million, highlighting Edmonton’s capacity to hold events that are both memorable and economically beneficial.
