National Indigenous Peoples Day provides Canadians an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Metis! This year’s theme is “International Year of Indigenous Languages”, and will mark the 24th year of hosting events at Canada Place in Edmonton

The day will feature children activities, Indigenous artisan vendors, and a cake and bannock give away. The main event will take place from noon-1pm, which will include a Grand Entry, as well as drum performances, hoop dancing, an Inuit entertainer and Michif song. Come join us for the program in Canada Place and then join in for other activities including Children’s Activities, arts and crafts and youth activities at the ATB Branch for Art and Culture!
