The Mosquers film festival aims to educate, entertain and build bridges by showcasing talent and the diverse Muslim experience. Indulge in an event filled with 10 incredible short films, feature entertainment, an award ceremony, and an after party for the ages.
This festival started ten years ago as a short-film competition tackling day-to-day issues, talents and stories of the local Muslim community. Designed to entertain audiences of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds, today the Mosquers Film Festival draws talented amateur filmmakers and audiences from North America and all across the globe. With a decorated judges panel that has previously included Zarqa Nawaz (creator of “Little Mosque on the Prairie”), to world famous comedians like Maz Jobrani, Ahmed Ahmed, Azhar Usman, Zaid Ali, Mohammed Amer, and many others. The after party last year included a social gathering presented by illMuslims filled with halal food and drinks, local fashion brand pop-ups and a stunning fashion show. Come on out and enjoy creativity and diversity through the lens of film!
