SkirtsAfire Festival is a four-day multidisciplinary arts festival that empowers, develops, supports and showcases women artists. In conjunction with International Women’s Day, the festival runs from March 8-11 at various venues in the heart of Alberta Avenue. Whether you're practicing sun salutations to live cello music amidst the gallery art, having a latte while listening to singer songwriters at the Carrot Community Coffee House or craft beer from Otto Food and Drink or enjoying a Staged Reading at the Nina, you're sure to be stirred and inspired at SkirtsAfire Festival
To start things off, from March 1-11 get the chance to see the MainStage play, The Romeo Initiative! Half romantic comedy and half spy thriller, it’s got a surprising twist you won’t want to miss. Purchase a ticket from March 2-3 and receive complementary popcorn and wine for “Her Night Out” or the Mimosa Matinee which includes a mimosa and a croissant. Or, from March 6-7, bring your Romeo or Juliet for “A Date with Romeo” and enjoy special $30 pricing for two tickets.
