Between Edmonton’s mind-blowing summer and winter months, we often forget about how awesome autumn can be. The MidAutumn Festival is your chance to celebrate good fortune, happiness and the season. Head to Churchill Square to take in the full moon and enjoy this traditional harvest festival with family and friends.
Have you ever tried a mooncake? If you haven’t you’re missing out. This dessert is made especially for the festival, and is a tasty symbol of reunion and family. Try your hand at martial arts and lantern making in the afternoon. In the evening, enjoy the lantern and lion dance parade. Make sure you watch the wishing boats fill the waters in front of City Hall holding the wishes and blessings of Edmontonians!
Free to attend
The Wishing Boat Launch will follow the Lantern and Lion Dance Parade at 9:00pm
