Downtown Edmonton is the place to be this Saturday, November 12, as the Downtown Business Association (DBA) presents the annual Holiday Light Up in Churchill Square.
Starting at 4:00pm the square will come alive with mascots, clowns, carolers, and fun for the whole family. On the main stage in the plaza, some of Edmonton’s best singers, choirs, and musicians will serenade with the sounds of the season.
At 6:30pm Edmonton Mayor Don Iveson will welcome Santa from the North Pole for the ‘main event’ – the official lighting of the 72-ft Christmas Tree. The tree is adorned with 14-thousand LED lights, cascading snowfalls, sparkles, and stars. After the tree ceremony, a spectacular fireworks show will light up downtown skies.
Don’t forget to bring a donation for the Food Bank!
