The Ford World Men's Curling Championship will be celebrating its 59th edition next April in Edmonton at the Northlands Coliseum. Not only will the event decide a world champion, it also determines most of the men's field for the 2018 Winter Olympics curling competition in PyeongChang, South Korea!
Cheer on the Canadian team as they battle against 11 other teams for the championship title. This year's field is comprised of the host Canadian team, one team from the Americas zone (Brazil will challenge the United States for the Americas zone berth in January), the eight top finishers at the European Championships, and the top two finishers from the Pacific-Asia Championships.
The 12 teams in Edmonton will play six days of round-robin competition leading to a four-team playoff over the final three days. In total, a minimum 22 draws will be played, with the potential for one additional tiebreaker draw, if necessary.
There is even more to the event than the on ice competition! Compete daily in Cool Curling for cash prizes and enjoy live music with the teams after the final game of the day. You need to be there to participate to win prizes that are given away between each game.
