Experience theatre, dance, film, yoga, spoken word, visual art and music all in one day at SkirtsAfire HerArts Festival. Or just come see the Mainstage play and stay for a drink in our cabaret space afterwards for some live music. SkirtsAfire empowers artists and audiences, and creates a space for female artistic excellence to be cultivated, experienced and passed on. You will be moved to laughter, to tears, to revelation, to joy, to deep thinking, to inspiration, to surprise and delight.
Whether you're practicing sun salutations to live cello music amidst the gallery art, having a latte while listening to singer songwriters at the Carrot Community Coffee House or enjoying the Family Show at the Nina, you're sure to be stirred and inspired at SkirtsAfire HerArts Festival. On Friday night, enjoy Words Unzipped, the ultimate interdisciplinary show where poetry comes to life through music, art and dance. And make sure to check out this year's Mainstage play, The Mommy Monologues, which opens one week ahead of the Festival.
Try out a belly dance workshop, a new play reading, or our A-Line Variety show which features all artistic disciplines in the Festival. You can roast marshmellows between shows while watching a film in the great outdoors in the midst of all our venues. Or you can take in our Skirt Gallery of unique newly designed skirts fashioned from upcycled materials. SkirtsAfire will keep you warm throughout the month of March.
All regular events during the Festival are by donation.
The Mainstage play, The Mommy Monologues, is $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. A group booking on Her Night Out is $20 per person in a group of at least 10, and includes a glass of wine and popcorn.
