This summer, Canada will host the best female soccer players during the world’s largest women’s sporting competition – the FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015™. From June 6 – July 4, Edmonton will host 11 matches at Commonwealth Stadium.

Here are all the details to help you celebrate the beautiful game during your stay with us!

FIFA Women’s World Cup Canada 2015 Main Event

All Edmonton matches will be held at Commonwealth Stadium located at 11000 Stadium Road.

How long before the kick-off of a match should I arrive at the stadium?
Avoid the line-ups, come early! Stadium gates open two hours prior to kick-off, with opening ceremony performances happening 20 minutes prior to the tournament’s first match. Take advantage of public transit and Park N’ Ride services, and give yourself lots of time before a match because public parking at the stadium will not be available. Public transit is free with your game day ticket for up to two hours before and two hours after the match. If you’re going to take advantage of the Park N’ Ride locations, they will be offered 1.5 hours before and after the match.

What if I have tickets for a doubleheader (two matches on the same day)? Do I get access to both matches that day?
Yes you do! Here’s the kicker, there will be no re-entry into the stadium if you choose to leave the stadium at any point. Typically you will find a one hour gap between matches on a double header day. If you’re looking for something to do during this hour, check out the FIFA Fan Zone (accessible from inside the stadium at gate 12).

Where will the Fan Zone be located?
There will be a FIFA Fan Zone (accessible from inside the stadium at gate 12), for match days only (June 6, 11, 16, 20, 22, 27, July 1 and 4). These fan zones will close once the match starts.

Will the matches be played rain or shine?
Come prepared for the elements! Matches will only be postponed for weather related reasons such as lightning around the stadium. Keep in mind, large golf umbrellas will not be permitted. Small umbrellas that can fit in your purse will only be allowed. This way you’re not blocking anyone’s view.

Where can I purchase tickets?
Ticketmaster opens for walk-up ticket sales at the stadium at gates 6, 9, and 13. Or you can purchase tickets at Tix on the Square in Sir Winston Churchill Square. You can also get tickets online at

What time will the matches kick off?
