Visitors can explore the new Health Zone. Here, guests will be placed at the centre of their own health stories. Through hands-on experiences and experiments they can test their flexibility and leg power, plus see and hear their heartbeat, look at their own veins or grab a lab coat and do a DNA extraction in the LAB (Learning about Biology). Enter the new Arctic Journey where you are not simply reading about the Arctic, you are feeling it. Ride an interactive dogsled across a frozen tundra. Explore and build an indoor igloo and see an inuksuk and marvel at its cultural significance.
The Science Centre also offers Indigenous Experiences which connects Indigenous way of knowing with contemporary science. The Indigenous Traditional Room is a welcoming place for Indigenous and non-Indigenous people to gather. It features local Indigenous artwork, ceremonial drums, blankets, and sacred medicines. The Northern Lights Indigenous Cultural Space is a space for you to learn about the Indigenous culture through daily hands-on crafts and teachings. In the Zeidler Dome you can embark on a journey with the Indigenous peoples of the Western plains of Canada and share in this wisdom conveyed by the stars by watching Legends of the Northern Sky show.

is a tactile adventure for children 6-years-old and younger. They will have fun and learn through activity and role play, as they crawl through the River Valley to discover fossils and get to know local animals, or climb the Fort Edmonton Park tree house to examine pelts and pretend to prepare a meal. Children’s imaginations will kick into overdrive when they pilot the EIA Airplane or command the YEG Control Tower. They will be delighted as they splash around at a Water Exploration Zone or explore several iconic Edmonton landmarks and attractions, such as the Muttart Conservatory, the Queen Elizabeth Planetarium, and the High Level Bridge.
The adventure continues when you step inside the S.P.A.C.E. Gallery and interact with exciting exhibits, from firing rockets and driving a Mars rover, to laying eyes upon a real-life Moon rock.

RASC Observatory
Stargazers, unite! The Royal Astronomical Society of Alberta – Edmonton Chapter (RASC) Observatory is the perfect place to explore the night sky within city limits. Located in Coronation Park, just southeast, access to the Observatory is convenient and admission is free. Guests can view the sun, moon, stars and planets through high quality telescopes and can even explore the galaxy with the assistance of volunteers from RASC Edmonton Centre. Weather permitting.
