Edmonton is a vibrant urban centre in the heart of wilderness – the largest northernmost metropolis in fact. Despite our big city feel, there’s a uniqueness to how we do things. Edmonton is a city that is authentic, rugged and original. It’s an attitude that you’ll only appreciate once you’ve visited Edmonton.
This attitude often results in some very cool experiences and stories in Edmonton. Whether that’s walking back in time at Fort Edmonton Park, or re-energizing your love for science at the Telus World of Science. Or maybe it is that special anniversary dinner at Range Road and a show at the Citadel Theatre.
We want to hear about your stories. We want to hear about your authentic Edmonton experiences. Remember, experiences come in small, medium and original! Submit your stories today!

Edmonton has a lot of hidden gems that are not well known to many tourists. Primary destination for visitors is usually WEM (West Edmonton Mall). As for me, I like outdoors and in summer my favourite way to pass the time is to attend numerous festivals. I love the Whyte Avenue Arts walk in July. This is a riot of colours and a great display of multi-faceted talents that people of Edmonton have. My second favourite festival is The Symphony Under the Sky that usually takes place in the Hawrelak Park. What a great synergy of divine music and the nature! I have never been disappointed by these concerts. They inspire, uplift and put me in a blissful mood. I also love walks in the River Valley area. It is fabulous to be in the center of the city and find myself in the middle of a forest area, the mecca of tranquility. I find it really rejuvenating.
It’s always important to recognize those individuals that help create those special experiences for you. Nominate them for a You’re Welcome Edmonton Award!
